My name is Priya and I am a young visionary. Currently, I am studying journalism at Stony Brook University and discovering my passion for storytelling using variety of mediums. I have a podcast series called Poisoned Island, which personalizes how hard Long Island has been hit by the opioid epidemic. I have traveled to the Shinnecock Indian Reservation to learn about the Shinnecock people’s relationship to their land and language. And I have written about my own experiences as a South Asian immigrant growing up thousands of miles away from home.
